Day 1 – Friday – March 13, 2020

2:30 pm              Tri-State Travel motorcoaches report to Bettendorf High School to load.
3:00 pm              Coaches begin boarding – depart as we head off for your “New York City Music Tour” making rest stops/driver change
along the way!  –   Driver switch – Rockford area

Day 2 – Saturday – March 14, 2020

10:00 am            Arrive for security check at Statue Cruises, depart on boat
11:00 am             Ferry departs
                          Free time to explore and have lunch on either Ellis Island or Liberty Island
“The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World” was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the
United States and is recognized as a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was
dedicated on October 28, 1886. It was designated as a National Monument in 1924. Employees of the National
Park Service have been caring for the colossal copper statue since 1933.

Day 4 – Monday – March 16, 2020

9:30 am              Orchestra BROADWAY INSTRUMENTAL Workshop
Arrive with prepared material of your choice to perform for a Broadway musician. The Broadway musician will then guest-conduct, give constructive feedback and guide your students to achieve a Broadway caliber performance. Students will be able to ask questions about rehearsing with a Broadway orchestra, playing in the pit, and how one makes the journey from playing an instrument for fun to becoming a professional musician. This includes a Q&A with a Broadway Performer. *This is a 2-hour workshop based on availability. We will do our best Instrumental workshops at either Carroll Studio or the DiMenna Center for Classical Music. If by chance we cannot book these spaces, we will notify you of the additional fee to hold this workshop at another location.
10:00 am            Concert Band BROADWAY INSTRUMENTAL Workshop
Place your students directly in the world of a Broadway pit musician, playing for Broadway’s best performers! This workshop is designed for the High School level Band or Orchestra and taught by a qualified musical director or conductor. Professionals and music taught might not be affiliated with the show you are attending.

Working with a Broadway musician, your students will sight read and prepare a special performance of a selected piece of Broadway music. After 90 minutes of work on the piece, your group will be joined by a Broadway performer who will perform with your students.
10:00 am            Choir Workshop – MAKING MUSIC!
Participants learn techniques of vocal dynamics and acting through song while working with a musical director on an arrangement of Broadway music. Explore the art of marrying music and drama to effectively achieve great emotional impact. The group has the opportunity to perform the piece with a Broadway guest performer, followed by a question-and-answer session. This workshop offers show-specific material options (some restrictions may apply).

2:00 pm              Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Pier 86, W 46th St, New York, NY 10036
Concert Jazz Performance on the deck of the Intrepid, or on the pier (weather pending)
The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is a educational institution featuring the legendary aircraft carrier Intrepid, the space shuttle Enterprise, the world’s fastest jets and a guided missile submarine. Through exhibitions, educational programming and the foremost collection of technologically groundbreaking aircraft and vessels, visitors of all ages and abilities are taken on an interactive journey through history to learn about American innovation and bravery.
4:30 pm              9/11 Memorial & Museum admission
The Museum tells the story of 9/11 through interactive technology, archives, narratives and a collection of artifacts. Learn about the two core exhibitions and see other areas of the 110,000 square feet of museum space.
6:30 pm              Dinner one’s own expense at the One World Observatory — (Group Dinner TBD)
8:00 pm              One World Observatory
You’ll be whisked to the top of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere in less than 60 seconds in the Sky Pod elevator while watching a time-lapse evolution of NYC over the past 500 years. At the 100th floor, step into the observatory for panoramic views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, New Jersey, and the surrounding waters. Stand on the glass Sky Portal and look down to the city streets for a totally unique perspective!

Day 5 – Tuesday – March 17, 2020
6:30 am            Full American Breakfast at the hotel
7:30 am Start loading the motorcoaches, and check-out of hotel – but we don’t head home yet!
8:00 am              Depart for the City
9:00 am              Be a part of the live outdoor studio audience for The Today Show! (9am-10:15am)
10:45 am NBC Studios Tour – Times TBD – 20 Person Groups – Staggered Times though-out the morning. Enjoy behind-the-scenes access to the studios where your favorite shows are made. Like Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night
with Seth Meyers and more. An NBC Page will serve as your host and behind-the-scenes expert, guiding you through the historic halls of 30 Rock. You’ll learn about the entire TV production process, from scriptwriting and producing to the ways TV content reaches your home.

After NBC Studios, you will have the remainder of the afternoon to get lunch, shop, and take photos!
5:00 pm              Depart New York City, and begin our straight through with meal, and break stops along the way. (one’s own expense)

Day 6 – Wednesday – March 18, 2020
9:30 am              Estimated time of arrival to Bettendorf High School with fun-filled memories of your New York Music Experience!

Payment/Cancellation and Refund Policy (Students):
Student online registry and initial deposit of $100.00 due by September 30, 2019
(NON-refundable, less non-refundable Broadway show tickets, if canceled by January 6, 2020)
Second Online Payment: $$336.34 due by November 14, 2019
(Refundable, less non-refundable Broadway show tickets, if canceled by January 6, 2020)
Third Online Payment: $$336.34 due by February 13, 2020 (NON-refundable payment)
Final payment to be advised upon final paying passenger count
(Pricing based 165 paying passengers per contract, Nonrefundable payment)
